Once
configured, all that needs be done to publish your FSEarth/Google
Earth Map to the Public is to start the FTPCopy Program. There are
several status indicators to let you know what is going on, which are
located at the top of FTPC:

From Left to Right, the controls
and Indicators used while FTPCopy is
running are:
START/STOP Button
Pressing
the [START] button causes FTPCopy to begin publishing. It will continue
publishing every x seconds until you press the [STOP] button. (The Stop
button will be in the same place as the start button)
Countdown Timer
Shows
the Number of Seconds until the next publish. (Publish occurs when
counter reaches ZERO) When the publish is finished, the counter is set
to the number of seconds shown in "Timer (Set)" in the Configure Frame.
ONLINE Indicator
(Upper
LED/Light)
The
Upper LED Indicator will turn green when FTPCopy is connected to a FTP
Server.
TRANSMIT Indicator
(Lower
LED/Light)
BLACK
Indicates a file is being uploaded.
RED
Indicates that the
FSEarth files could not be located.
BLUE
Indicates that the
FSEarth files are blank (contain no FS data)
Status Text
This
text field shows the "conversation" beteen FTPCopy and the FTP Server.
(Mostly for debugging connection or login problems, but sometimes
interesting to watch if you are bored.)
Upload Progress Bar
(as an
overlay on Status Text)
A
Cyan Colour Progress Bar will appear behind the status text during
Picture/Image Uploads.
File Size Indicator
Shows
the size of the FSEarth generated KML file, in Bytes. The Grey
Bar shows how "Full" the file is in relation to a maximum recomended
size of 50kb. The Purpose of this indicator is to let you know when it
is time to reset the FSEarth Map to remove extra Recently Flown Path
Lines. Be aware that every AI (or multiplayer) aircraft also adds to
the file size.
Diamond Button
Causes
FTPCopy to collapse to the smallest size possible and imbed into the
top of the screen. (So that only the run-status is at the very top
edge.) Clicking the diamond button again causes FTPCopy to return to
normal size, and drop down to where the windows edge is visible.
This
function is useful when you want to see what FTPC is doing, but also
want GE on-screen.
